Ans. A collection of data on a computer is called a database. A database is a system for organizing data. It is a collection of raw data that can be changed, sorted, and quickly searched to show detailed information about something more particular.

EXAMPLE:

A very simple example of a database is an electronic address book which can include information about thousands of people.

Ans. Every characteristic, or piece of information, is called a field. A field has a name and some data.



Q4. What is Branching database?
Ans. A branching database (sometimes called a binary tree) is a way of classifying a group of objects. If it has been designed properly, someone else could use the tree to identify one of the objects.
